Information for Consumers and Families

Medicare Beneficiaries
For over 20 years, Masspro has been the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Massachusetts. Our job is to improve the quality of health care provided to Medicare beneficiaries and to teach them about the rights and protections of the Medicare program. We also work with beneficiaries and their families when they feel services have ended too soon or when they have a complaint about care they have received. We offer a helpline, 1-800-252-5533, where beneficiaries can begin the appeals process, report a quality of care complaint, or get help finding other helpful resources.
