Nursing Home in Need
As part of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) 9th Statement of Work, Masspro will provide technical to nursing homes in need.
Nursing homes in need are designated by CMS and are participants in the CMS Special Focus Facility Initiative (SFF). CMS describes Special Focus Facilities as those that have:
More problems than other nursing homes (about twice the average number of survey deficiencies) More serious problems than most nursing homes (including harm or injury experienced by residents), and A pattern of serious problems that has persisted over a long period of time (as measured over the three years before the date the nursing home was first put on the SFF list).
Masspro will work with one Special Focus Facility per year for three years and help them identify the root causes of quality issues, make systems changes that result in better care for their residents, and demonstrate performance that allows them to "graduate" out of the Special Focus Facility program.
