NURSING HOME COMPARE

Deciding which nursing home setting best meets the needs of a loved one can be difficult.  The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides free information regarding the quality of care provided by Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing homes through its "Nursing Home Compare" website.  This website contains information that lets you easily compare the quality of care provided by nursing homes throughout the United States by presenting information on nursing home characteristics, quality measures, inspection results, and nursing staff information.  Users can search for information by geography, proximity or nursing home name.
