Quality care is essential to ensuring the health and well being of nursing home residents. Masspro, through its work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)’ 8th Scope of Work, is focused on assisting nursing homes to improve their clinical performance as well as resident and staff satisfaction by transforming their culture from institutional to a person-centered model of care delivery.
Masspro will accomplish these objectives by working with nursing homes to set quality improvement targets for clinical indicators, collect and analyze information on resident and staff satisfaction, and disseminate evidence-based clinical practices to:

Decrease the rate of pressure ulcers among high-risk residents,

Decrease the use of physical restraints,

Improve the identification and management of depressive symptoms,

Improve pain management in chronic care residents.
