The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services mission is to assure health care security for beneficiaries. Its’ goals are to protect and improve beneficiary health and satisfaction; foster appropriate and predictable payments and high quality care; promote understanding of CMS programs among beneficiaries, community, and the public; promote the fiscal integrity of CMS programs and be an accountable steward of public funds; foster excellence in the design and administration of CMS programs; provide leadership in the broader health care marketplace to improve health.
LeadingAge Massachusetts
LeadingAge Massachusetts, formerly MassAging, is the only organization representing the full continuum of mission-driven, not-for-profit providers of health care, housing, and services for older persons in Massachusetts. Members of LeadingAge Massachusetts provide housing and services to more than 25,000 older persons in the Commonwealth each year.
MA Senior Care Association
The Massachusetts Senior Care Association is committed to working cooperatively with all parties to develop the best possible long-term care system for the state of Massachusetts and its residents. It advocates a balanced approach to long-term care services. Its members are at the forefront of providing community-based services such as adult day health care and assisted living.
Massachusetts Culture Change Coalition
The Massachusetts Culture Change Coalition is a diverse group of stakeholders including provider groups and associations, consumer organizations, state and federal agencies and others, dedicated to advancing the principles of person-centered care in long term care. The Coalition has also assumed a leadership role as the Local Area Networks for Excellence (LANE) in the national Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes Campaign. As the LANE for Massachusetts, the Coalition plays a central role in driving and coordinating nursing home improvement work at the local level.
