“I came to work at Masspro a little over two years ago. As
an experienced nurse, my work history included experience in the
community hospital and in an academic medial center. I was
eager to grow professionally and wanted to move beyond the hospital
setting. Masspro values my education and transferable skills
( nursing assessment, case management, patient education and creative
problem solving) and gives me the opportunity to use my skills,
every day, in my work as a Medicare outreach and mediation coordinator. I
have had the opportunity to promote and support the Medicare mediation
program and watch it grow to become an integral part of the beneficiary
protection program. In a comprehensive orientation, I acquired
a good understanding of Medicare and the QIO review process. I
have also benefited from a series of free professional educational
programs that are provided on site, during business hours. I am
